The Human Design Profiles In Business – Part 1

The 6 lines make up the 12 profiles in human design. The lines are a part of the human design which I tend to spend a good deal amount of time on personally due to the fact that this is the personality we bring to the table. We each have some combination of the 6 lines (the numbers after the gates) and the most prominent set of lines are the ones in our profile.

I truly believe the profile is a part of the chart that typically gets glossed over by the human design community which I can’t seem to understand why as it tells us so much about the person in front of us. We can discover the person’s cognitive bias, world view, attachment style, trauma patterns, security style, strengths, weaknesses, and so much more. We can delve into how they will react to stress, the life lessons and challenges they will face, their core wounds and coping mechanics.

The profiles unlock an entire world yes so many in the HD Space fail to truly understand the depth and nuance that is here within this aspect of the chart and how this part of the chart impacts the rest of the chart. Because it does.

When I teach the lines and profiles inside of the HD Wild Program I talk about the profile or line spectrum. That spectrum determines how aligned or misaligned someone is at any given moment. If their nervous system is regulated or not. If they are in the congruent self or the incongruent self.

Your profile can be used as a compass to discern when you congruent to the whole of who you are and when you are not. But here’s the thing, we often label our incongruence, not-self, low expression or whatever name you want to call it when you are not aligned as bad. But the thing is we aren’t static beings.

As we move through our days we may oscillate from congruent to incongruent and back again. The key is to become aware and recognize when we are out of alignment with more ease and speed. We cannot simply expect we will always be in the high expression 24/7, 365. That is an unrealistic expectation.

Instead we must stop treating our not self as bad and tend to it, reckon with it, and discern why it is showing up. We must get to the root of why this is emerging in our lives. We must stop stuffing it down. We must get vulnerable and honest with ourselves about it. We must be willing to face parts of ourselves that may make us feel bad, guilty, shameful, etc. That is hard work. But we must do so in order to rewrite our stories. To get back to the nature of who we are before the world told us who we should be. We must find our ecocentric selves.

This is why it is not enough to know the information when it comes to human design. We must integrate it and embody it. We must work with it.

There are far too many people in the human design space with a basic knowledge but a distinct lack of embodiment. And if you look closely you can see it in the lack of depth, lack of practical explanations and examples. You can see it in the lack of originality and the failing to honor ones own design.

None of us will get out of this without conditioning. Our jobs are not to try to be perfect in living out our design. Our job is to learn to accept that which we bring to the table, the past we carry with us, and the potential for a better future which we have not yet written.

And the path to live out the highest expression of ourselves doesn’t mean there aren’t days of incongruence. It means we honor those days, those moments, and we learn from them. We extract the lessons they teach us to make us more of who we truly are so that the next time we are faced with that experience we make a different decision which honors who we are instead of succumbing to the stories of conditioning we carry.
